Serranito - pork loin, green pepper and Serrano ham

Description:
A Serranito is a warm sandwich prepared in Andalusia. The main ingredients are pork loin, Serrano ham, green pepper and tomato. It is served with french fries.

Recipe method:

  1. Start by making the fries, which act as an accompaniment to our Serranito, according to tradition.
  2. Fry the whole green peppers for about 3 or 4 minutes. Keep frying until the skin is golden brown. Once the green peppers are fried, take away from the head, cut off the top, removing the seeds and place the green peppers to one side.
  3. Season the thin slices of pork loin with salt and fresh ground pepper.
  4. Pour olive oil in a deep sauté pan and heat through. Add the slices of pork loin to the hot oil and fry for 4 minutes until they are golden brown and cooked throughout. Meanwhile, peel and slice one tomato.
  5. Place the tomato slices on the base of the rustic bread. Cover them with the slices of pork loin and opened green peppers, and place on the top of the Serrano ham. Serve the fried potatoes as a garnish.


Ingredients and Quantities:
4 thin slices of pork loin
salt
ground black pepper
2 baguettes
4 green peppers
4 slices of Serrano ham
4tbsp olive oil
4 potatoes
