This gluten free Paella Rice is grown in the heart of the famous Albufera Natural Park in Sollana, Valencia, renowned as one of the best areas in Spain for rice cultivation. It has a property to increase significantly in size, upon cooking, absorbing all the flavours and aromas of the broth. It remains very firm-grained during cooking, making it perfect for paella or a Spanish rice meal.
It is highly suitable for vegans and vegetarians. Our Short Round Rice has D.O. status (Denomination of Origin) which is a prestigious product classification which is awarded to food products that are produced in designated regions according to stringent production criteria. Therefore, to ensure the utmost quality and provenance each bag, our rice is individually numbered with D.O. label.
Short-grain rice, also known as paella rice, is a type of short and rounded rice especially selected from varieties such as J. Sendra, Fonsa and Montsianei grown in the heart of the famous Albufera Natural Park in Sollana, Valencia. It increases significantly in size, upon cooking, absorbing all the flavours and aromas of the broth. Cook it for 18-20 mins to obtain the best result. Use 2.5 times the quantity of stock to rice.
