Maratelli Round Rice, 5kg, plastic bag
The seed of this rice variety is originally from Italy, but our Maratelli is grown in Spain, particularly in Aragon and Navarra. Our Maratelli Round Rice is an early-ripening variety and is part of the group of 'semi-fine' rice. Our Maratelli Round Rice has an exceptional resistance to cooking, making it perfect for risottos or dishes where you need the rice to maintain its texture and shape. Cook it for 18-20 mins to obtain the best result.
Maratelli rice is particularly good for cooking paella and risottos, as it holds its firmness when cooked, thanks to its high concentration of ‘amylose’ which is a natural starch that decreases stickiness and increases the firmness of the rice. Cook it for 18-20 mins to obtain the best result. Use 2 times the quantity of stock to rice.
